  • Check out the site JiT2U! It is currently under development, but already has a number of resources related to Web 2.0 tools. Various categories are listed and specific tools are covered in each category. The site describes the tools, explains how they can be used, and also provides tutorials to the tools. It's an excellent starting point for those wanting to explore Web 2.0 tools and how they can support learning.

    • A not-for-profit with the mission of providing a world-class education to anyone, anywhere. The site contains links to educational videos sorted by subject area. Most, if not all, videos are YouTube videos...just another reason why I (Matt) need to find a way to open up our filter for students.

    • You can use ZamZar to download YouTube videos that can then be stored on your computer or a flash drive.

    • This page provides information about a number of Web 2.0 tools for education. It was created for a presentation at PETE&C in February 2010.

      • If you a looking for an easy way to create groups without taking time to write them out, use the Group Maker tool and watch the random groups being created before your eyes! Put it up on the smartboard and let your students watch too. Then when the groups are finished, just choose to regroup and it does it all over again.
    • RANDOM STUDENT GENERATOR
      • If you don't know who to choose next, let the Random Student Generator do it for you. The students enjoy this much more than being chosen by another person.
  • Google eBooks
    • Resourse for access to online books. There are a number of free books available as well. Browse "Best of the free" to view the free online books through the site.
  • Study Blue
    • FREE flashcard-making site. Type in your vocab and the flashcards "Flip" to see if you're correct.
      Very cool. Students can even access the cards that you make.
